Shooting Victim was Long-Time Newspaper Sales Rep

Denise Robert, 62, of Bedford, sold advertising for the Neighborhood News weekly newspapers; was killed in the North End of Manchester.

Denise Robert, 62, of Bedford, was an advertising representative for the Union Leader Corp., the parent company of the Neighborhood News chain of weekly newspapers covering numerous communities from Bow to Salem, and had worked for the company for decades. She was killed on Ray Street near Carpenter in the city’s North End community at around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 30, 2015.

The family agreed to release the name of the victim before all of her relatives had been notified, according to the report. The victim was single, lived with her mother, and had no known enemies, according to family members.

A press conference will be held this afternoon by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and the Manchester Police at around 2 p.m.

Police are looking for the public’s help tracking down the alleged killer. Witnesses reported seeing a red pickup truck leaving the area at about the same time of the shooting. The man was described as young with short hair.
