Stolen Cellphone Leads To Gun Threat In NH: Police
Fabio Baez allegedly pulled a stolen gun on three people from Lawrence. He was arrested in Quincy on drug dealing, gun charges in February.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local man was arrested and held on Feb. 28, 2018, after allegedly pulling a gun on three people from Massachusetts in a spat about a stolen cellphone, according to police. Fabio Baez was arrested on three counts of criminal threatening and receiving stolen property, all felonies, as well as violation of bail conditions. At around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were sent to Bridge Street for a report of a three incident.

Three residents of Lawrence, MA – two 21-year-olds and a 20-year-old – alleged that they came to Manchester to retrieve a stolen cellphone from a juvenile at the apartment.

“When they confronted the accused female juvenile, a male identified as Fabio Baez exited the apartment pointing a handgun at them,” according to Sgt. Michael Biron of the Manchester Police Department. “When officers arrived, they located Baez outside of the apartment. During the course of the investigation, officers located a Jimenez Arms .380 pistol. The firearm was reported stolen out of College Park, GA.”
Baez was arrested and since he was already out on bail from Manchester District Court, a violation of bail conditions charge was added to his docket and he was held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court-North.

According to a post on Quincy MA Patch, Baez was arrested in mid-February after a traffic stop in that community that led to the seizure of a handgun with a high capacity magazine, drugs, brass knuckles, and burglary tools.
