SWAT On Scene At Manchester Lake Avenue Business Friday Morning

Police and federal agents, including Homeland Security Investigators, raided an automobile repair garage in the Queen City.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police SWAT, Special Enforcement Division, and federal agents raided an address on Lake Avenue in Manchester early Friday morning.

The address appears to be used as a repair garage attached to a multi-unit building. After SWAT officers secured the scene, Manchester police left. It is unknown if anyone was taken into custody from the scene.

Several agents with the letters, HSI, on the back of their shirts could be seen in the parking lot, and inside the garage area. HSI is a division of Homeland Security and indicates
Homeland Security Investigators.

Homeland Security Investigations, according to its website, is the principal investigative arm of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. HSI investigates a wide array of transnational crimes — including national security threats, terrorism, child exploitation, human smuggling, trafficking, and illegal exports of weapons and technology.

When Manchester police were contacted, they directed all questions to the U.S. Attorney's Office and indicated MPD would not be releasing any information.

The address is located on Lake Avenue and is three buildings away from one of the Manchester police substations.

The building, according to the city of Manchester tax records, has been owned by Syed Jan Alam since 2017.
