Three 'Suspicious Deaths' Reported in Bedford

Bedford Police, New Hampshire State Police called to McAfee Farm Road on Saturday; police are looking for a maroon BMW with NH plates.

Bedford Police, Fire and Rescue teams, and other agencies were called to 17 McAfee Farm Road in Bedford earlier today for an incident that the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has deemed “suspicious deaths.”

NH AG Joseph Foster issued a press release earlier tonight saying that the names of three people who were found dead at the home would not be released pending family notification and autopsy results.

According to Jeffrey Hastings of Frame of Mind Photography, police were called to the scene around 1 p.m. on March 28, 2015, with “officers using shields” to approach the house.

Police have the road blocked off to non-residential traffic and no one has been removed from the building.

“According to neighbors who I spoke to the house is occupied by a husband and wife and two young girls under the age of 10,” Hastings reported in an email. “It is unknown who is affected by the incident. The neighbor said BPD has a lot of history at this address and there have been several domestic situations and other police activity. The owner of the house is of Russian Decent and is a weapons dealer and owns a gun shop.”

At around 5 p.m., a “be-on-the-lookout” call was issued for a maroon BMW coupe with New Hampshire plates reportedly owned by one of the residents, Alexey Obukhov, of New Vector Corporation. Obukhov was also a gun collector, according to his online profile.

Other neighbors reported seeing a red pickup truck with two men in the bed of the truck speed off from the scene before police arrived. Neighbors reported that there had been a history of domestic situations and other police activity at the home.

“It is unknown if this is related to the case,” Hastings reported. “When the BOLO was given on the vehicle it was described as attempt to locate in relation to a murder/suicide in Bedford NH.”

Obukhov was denied a conceal carry permit last year by the chief of police of Bedford. He later sued and the decision was reversed in November 2014.
