ā¢ Police in NH investigate 'Reaper' hoax call claiming hostages, bomb threats, ransom demand (wmur.com) ā Belmont police are investigating a frightening hoax call from someone calling themselves āThe Reaper,ā who falsely claimed to have hostages and bombs near Lake Winnisquam by Mosquito Bridge and Winnisquam Marina. Multiple agencies, K-9 units, drones, and bomb-detection teams responded before determining the threats werenāt credible, and officials warn such swatting-style calls waste critical resources.
