• John Doe Federal 'Laurie List' Lawsuit Against Lisbon Moving Forward (patch.com) — A Lisbon police officer’s long-running legal fight over his firing and placement on New Hampshire’s “Laurie List” now centers partly on a fitness test he took in Bethlehem, closer to his home. Court records say that test, and later discipline tied to it, helped trigger the dispute now back in federal court after a key state Supreme Court ruling on due process. 
• Casella withdraws landfill application near Forest Lake (mychamplainvalley.com) — Bethlehem’s Trudeau Road landfill, which many North Country towns rely on, is expected to close in 2027, increasing pressure on regional trash capacity. A proposed replacement landfill near Forest Lake State Park in Dalton has just been withdrawn, leaving Casella still seeking ways to handle waste now sent to Bethlehem and potentially affecting future disposal costs for local communities.
