Diane Pauer helped craft an amendment to a data center zoning bill that was just tabled in a lopsided 304–11 vote. The decision pauses a proposal that would have made data centers automatically allowed in commercial and industrial zones statewide, while lawmakers revisit how to balance local control, environmental concerns, and economic development.
