• Revealed in the river (commonsnews.org) — Charlestown's role as the Fort at No. 4 terminus of Crown Point Road is back in the spotlight as historians believe they've located a long-lost 1760 blockhouse foundation in the Connecticut River near Springfield. The discovery could lead to national historic recognition and adds new context to the 21 markers already tracing the road's route through Charlestown and across Vermont.
