Police Chief Brent Wilmot requested the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department handle the case and recommended a broader audit of parks-related accounts, while officials say no other city staff appear implicated. 
• Kerry Gagnon (vnews.com) — Claremont is mourning the passing of Kerry Michael Gagnon, a fourth-generation mason, business owner, and community volunteer who died July 2 surrounded by family. Raised and educated in Claremont, he built KM Gagnon Inc., mentored many in the trade, and generously donated his skills to local projects, leaving a lasting legacy through his work, children, and grandchildren.
