- The weather is lookin’ good. If the National Weather Service’s weather predictions are correct, it’s going to be a pretty nice weather week. On Monday morning, there will be a little bit of rain and then clouds, with muggies in the afternoon. But the sun is expected to return on Tuesday, with temps in the 70s. Similar weather is expected on Wednesday and Thursday. But by Thursday night, rain could return, with temps dropping down in the high 40s. Friday is expected to be another sunny day though. - Win Sox tix! The Kimball Jenkins School of Art has an online auction going right now. You could win four Red Sox tickets for June 25, at Fenway, if you’re the highest bidder. Also, summer art classes will start up soon at the school. Check out the listing of classes here.
- Are you out of work? An unemployment support group meets at 8 a.m. every Monday morning at EJ’s on Main at the Holiday Inn. Network, get support, and be with others making it through these tough times. Patch will have the latest jobs posted on Monday afternoon. Employment seekers can always visit the Jobs website on Patch for the latest job listings in Concord and the Granite State.
- Got a small business or service? Network with others at The Office Suite. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. every Monday to talk business. The group meeting is free and open to anyone who has a service or product to share.
- Home energy savings workshop. This free workshop offers strategies for finding savings and making changes to your home to prepare for next year. The event is free and will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the Forest Society on Portsmouth Street.
- Novel time. The Gibson’s Book Club meets at 7 p.m. on Monday to read from by Rachel Joyce. The event is free.
- Speaking of work … On Tuesday, there is an inside sales employment position open house at the Patch Boston office. Apply online or stop by the office if you're in the big city.
- Body screening. Capital Physical Therapy on Centre Street hosts a functional movement screening session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Anyone 13 or older, can attend this interactive workshop.
- The Patch Report. The Concord Patch Report, that airs weekly on 105.5 JYY, now airs at 8 a.m. on Thursdays. I talk with Nazzy and Mya about cool things going on in the city. And don't miss the daily NH Patch updates at 11 a.m. on "The Attitude," Arnie Arnesen's radio show on 94.7 FM. Tune in!
- Learn about QuickBooks. Sheri-Lynn Fournier will hold an introduction to QuickBooks class from 9 a.m. to noon at The Office Suite. Registration costs $75.
- Dealing with Depression. Author David Blistein will be at Gibson’s to talk about his new book, “David’s Inferno,” in which he shares his personal experiences dealing with a nervous breakdown. The event is at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
- Broadway at the Cap. Broadway's Next H!t Musical, an improvised comedy, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Capitol Center for the Arts. Tickets are $35, or $50, which includes a post-show party.
- Helping the Friends. The Friends of Forgotten Children’s annual yard sale starts at noon on Friday, with all proceeds going to the organization. Donations are still being accepted and volunteers are needed too.
