Woods in Durham on Sunday, May 3rd. Participants may
register and start any time between 10 AM and 12:30 PM.

Orienteering
is a sport that involves navigating between points using a map and
compass. Think of it as treasure hunting in the woods if you like. It
is easy to learn and fun for all ages. Experienced orienteers will be
on hand at College Woods, on the campus of UNH, to help newcomers
learn the basics and get started on their first beginner's course.
You can take part individually or as part of a group – it's a great
activity for family or friends!

May
is a wonderful time to explore the beauty of the Seacoast's forests
and the UNH campus. And orienteering is the perfect recreation
activity to help you do just that. Don't miss this opportunity for a
memorable day outdoors.

American Legion Post 21 Inc

The First Sunday Jazz Jam returns on Sunday, May 3, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at American Legion Post #21 (7 Perley Street, Concord).
This relaxed, welcoming jam session brings together musicians and vocalists of all ages and experience levels for an afternoon of swing, jazz standards, and community connection. Participants are invited to sit in, call tunes, or simply listen and enjoy—listeners are warmly welcome.
No soloing experience is required—anyone comfortable playing or singing a melody from the Real Book is encouraged to join.
A keyboard, drum kit, bass amp, and microphones for vocalists will be provided. Musicians should bring their own instruments, music stands, fake books or charts, and any personal equipment they rely on (guitarists are asked to bring a small amp).
While American Legion Post #21 is a private club, this event is open to the public. Guests may ring the doorbell upon arrival to be admitted. The Legion is generously providing the space; attendees are encouraged to support them by purchasing beverages at the bar. Popcorn is complimentary, and guests are welcome to bring their own food.

As the third offering of its 98th season, the Community Players of Concord will present To Kill a Mockingbird, Christopher Sergel’s stage adaptation of the 1960 Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Harper Lee.&nbsp;To Kill a Mockingbird depicts a disturbing chapter of life in a sleepy Depression era Alabama town, where 9-year-old Scout and her brother Jem live with their widowed father, attorney Atticus Finch. When a young black man is accused of a terrible crime, Atticus defends the man in a trial that sends violent waves throughout the community. Timeless and lingering, this hard-hitting work explores prejudice, compassion and the courage to do what is right. The production is directed by Elizabeth Lent and the cast includes Chris Demers as Atticus, Emerson Sullivan as Scout, Emerson Morse as Jem, Simon Hutchins as Dill, Saphaedra Renee as Calpurnia, Patricia Kegel as Miss Maudie and Matthew J. Murray as Tom Robinson.

To Kill a Mockingbird will be performed Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 3 at 2:00pm at Concord City Auditorium, 2 Prince Street, Concord, NH. The May 3rd performance will be ASL interpreted.

Etan Mabourakh from the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) joins us to talk about the current situation in Iran.&nbsp; That will include the U.S./Israel attacks on Iran, what's happening inside the country, and the broader effects and issues.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Etan Mabourakh is a Jewish Iranian American political strategist, community organizer, and advocate for the Iranian American diaspora. He currently serves as Organizing Manager at the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) and as a Board Member at Brooklyn For Peace.&nbsp; Etan’s advocacy sits at the intersection of anti-war organizing, civil rights, and immigrant justice. At NIAC, he leads grassroots mobilization across the country — running a nationwide volunteer chapter network, Know Your Rights trainings, deportation defense workshops, pro-peace campaigns and community organizing in response to the targeting of Iranian Americans by ICE and the U.S. war against Iran. He has advocated for War Powers Resolutions to reassert Congressional authority over the use of military force, opposed U.S. complicity in war crimes, and supported Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block weapons transfers to Israel. Quoted in the New York Times, CNN, Middle East Eye, Gothamist and Truthout, and has appeared on WBAI’s Beyond the Pale, in an interview with Tara Riva, the Katie Halper Show, and Breaking Points bringing the Iranian American community’s perspective into national and international conversations on war, diplomacy, and diaspora rights.

Explore music and dance movement therapy techniques, process and interconnection with CCMS Music Therapist Tony Varga and&nbsp;Dance Movement Therapist Heather Hearne.
Varga’s presentation provides an introduction to music therapy, explains the types of clients who might benefit from it most, and demonstrates how it works.&nbsp; Hearne will discuss dance movement therapy techniques, share success stories, and offer optional moments to integrate and participate.&nbsp;
