2 Taken To Concord Hospital After Rollover On East Side Drive
Breaking: A young man and a young woman were transported after a rollover crash at the intersection with Hazen Drive not far from I-393.
CONCORD, NH — The intersection of East Side Drive and Hazen Drive was closed for more than an hour and a half on Wednesday night for a crash with injuries. Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area around 6 p.m. on June 12, 2019, for a report of rollover. Two victims – a male driver and female passenger – were transported to Concord Hospital, one with a severe head injury, according to scanner chatter.
First responders found a sedan that had crashed into a utility pole, a traffic light, the sign pointing the way to state government offices on Hazen Drive. Unitil was also called to the scene to repair damage to a pole and a low hanging wire while New Hampshire Department of Transportation workers repaired the state sign and the traffic light.

The driver was identified quickly but the passenger wasn't able to give her full name. Police at the scene gathered her information from a license in the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is unknown but from the trajectory of the damage caused, it appears as if the vehicle rolled over while heading south on East Side Drive.
At post time, parts of the intersection were still closed to traffic as the vehicle had not been removed from the scene.
An officer at the scene told dispatch that residents on East Side Drive requested increased patrols due to speeding issues on the street.
