About a month ago I announced my candidacy to run for State Representative in Penacook, NH. I have already knocked on 250 doors within Penacook to hear what the people would like to see pursued. My plan is to write a letter every couple of weeks discussing what I have learned.
So far, Penacook residents are sick of being treated like second class citizens to Concord, the citizens of Penacook are sick of paying higher taxes then Concord and would like to see that changed. My opponent has voted many times to help increase the taxes within Penacook. A sampling of these bills include: HB185 voted to increase taxes on home heating oil and HB136 voted to increase pay for politicians attending county conventions
State Representatives attend state conventions to represent their constituents; the citizens of Penacook would not need to pay me for this. Conventions are already part of the job description for State Representatives.

I understand that Penacook residents work hard for what they earn and oil prices are already very expensive, without tax increases. I promise to never vote to increase the cost of heating oil. Some residents of Penacook obtain heating oil from Fred Fuller, a company that has failed to keep contracts with customers. Instead of worrying about my salary at State conventions, I would stand up for those residents that have already paid for heating oil they did not receive. Idling by is not an option. Let’s make Penacook prosperous again!
