$250K Raised During Easter Seals Walk
More than 2,500 participated in the Eversource Walk with Me and 5K Run for Easter Seals New Hampshire.
MANCHESTER, NH – More than two thousand people participated in this year’s Eversource Walk with Me and 5K Run for Easter Seals New Hampshire in Manchester on June 2, 2016, raising about $250,000 for the nonprofit, according to Pamela Dube, a spokesperson for Easter Seals.
The money raised will be used to assist Granite State children, adults, and senior citizens with disabilities and special needs.
The addition of the 5K road race as well as more than 40 vendors, many focused on wellness, made the event bigger and better than ever, Dube noted.

“We are so grateful for the overwhelming community support for this event,” said Easter Seals NH President and CEO Larry Gammon. “The money raised will certainly impact our neighbors throughout the state with disabilities and special needs. Title Sponsor Eversource stepped forward to take this event to the next level and their philanthropy should certainly be emulated in the business community. We are thankful for their support and generosity.”

Eversouce, the state's largest electric utility, was the title sponsor for the event. Jim Judge, Eversource President and CEO, stated that he was proud of his employee's involvement in the event.
“At Eversource, we have a passion and commitment to Easter Seals and the great programs and services it provides every day to the people and communities of New Hampshire," he said. "(Our employees) helped make this year’s event bigger and better than ever."
