​37 Applebee’s ​Locations Raise $112K For Special Olympics​

NH, Mass., and Maine locations raised the $112,534.25 from a golf tournament and customer donations during August and September.

CONCORD, NH — Representatives of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar presented a check for $112,534.25 to local Special Olympics chapters on Oct. 9, 2017, according to a press release. The funds were raised through customer donations during the months of August and September at 37 Applebee’s restaurants throughout New England, owned and operated by Apple American Group, as well as at an Applebee’s golf tournament in September. One hundred percent of the funds raised were donated to Special Olympics, which provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities or closely related developmental disabilities.

Participating restaurants in New Hampshire included Concord, Derry, Dover, Epping, Hooksett, Keene, Littleton, Manchester, Nashua, North Conway, Portsmouth, Seabrook, Tilton and West Lebanon. In Massachusetts, restaurants in Chelmsford, Danvers, Haverhill, Leominster, Saugus, Tewksbury, and Woburn, worked on the effort. In Maine, participating restaurants included locations in Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Brunswick, Oxford, Portland, Sanford, South Portland, Thomaston, Waterville and Windham. In Vermont, participating restaurants are located in Berlin, Rutland and South Burlington.
