4 People Sent To Concord Hospital After Loudon Road Collision: Watch

A motorcycle rider and passenger, and a Prius driver and passenger, were injured during a crash Sunday; the road will be closed for hours.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating the cause of a crash on Loudon Road Sunday that sent four people to the hospital.

Just before 5 p.m., dispatchers began receiving reports about a crash with injuries between a car and motorcycle in the middle of Loudon Road. The collision was between a Toyota Prius and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was traveling west while the Prius appeared to be pulling out of a parking lot.

A witness told Patch the motorcyclist appeared to be riding above the speed limit, which is 30 miles per hour in that section of the road.

Both a rider and passenger on the motorcycle as well as the driver and a passenger in the car, were taken to the hospital. Two of the injuries were Status 3, according to EMTs.

Firefighters cleared the scene just past 6 p.m.

A cowboy boot and a white sneaker could be seen several feet on the east side of the crash, while a Smith & Wesson handgun and a knife, as well as a second white sneaker, were spotted to the west of the crash. Debris was strewn around several feet in both directions of the collision.

An officer at the scene said they expected the road to be closed for several hours. The road is closed between Canterbury Road and Ormond Street.
