4-Vehicle Crash In Concord Clogs Loudon And Airport Roads, Hazen Drive: Watch
Police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the busy Heights intersection Wednesday for a crash that sent several drivers to the hospital.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams cleared a four-vehicle accident at a busy Heights intersection on Wednesday.
Around 11:15 a.m., first responders were sent to the intersection of Loudon Road, Hazen Drive, and Airport Road for a report of a multi-vehicle accident with injuries. After police arrived and closed the road, firefighters arrived and immediately requested more ambulances. The crash involved a Kia, a Ford Edge SUV, a Mercury SUV, and a Honda Civic.
One driver told police the brakes on their vehicle would not engage when they tried to use them, according to scanner chatter.

At around 11:45 a.m., a fourth ambulance was requested from Tri-Town in Pembroke to assist. But it was canceled before EMTs arrived in Concord since one of the city’s ambulances cleared its drop-off at the hospital and returned to the scene, dispatch said.
Debris was spread across Loudon Road and Hazen Drive as well as down Gully Hill after the Mercury continued driving a short distance the road.

Four tow trucks were called in to remove the vehicles.
After four transports to Concord Hospital, fire and rescue teams cleared around 12:15 p.m. Police stayed at the scene and opened the roads later.
