"Five Things” is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance about Concord, N.H.
- Windy Wednesday? Maybe. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the mid-30s. However, expect it to be a bit breezy from 8 to 14 mph in the day and evening hours. Overnight, expect clouds and highs in the teens.
- Eat out, help others. Print out the coupon on this event post from the Friends of Forgotten Children and present it at the Ninety-Nine Restaurant on D’Amante Drive during dinner and the Friends will receive 15 percent of your total bill (sans tax, gratuity). It’s good for dining in or taking out.
- The Spirituality of Food. In February and March, Grace Episcopal Church will be hosting weekly discussions on Wednesday about how to live with your values when making food choices. The talks start at 6 p.m. and are free. A donation though will be accepted for the Take-a-Tote food program.
- A visit to England. Join cinematographer Monty Brown as he takes you through the western counties of Great Britain at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium as part of the Walker Lecture Series. Like all Walker events, it's free and open to the public.
- Other stuff. St. Paul’s Church hosts a movement class at 10:30 a.m. for children from birth to 4. At noon, Dustin Rose hosts a complimentary circuit training class at Dustin’s Fitness Solutions. Have fun fiddling around at the Poetry Society of New Hampshire’s monthly get together at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m. with Dudley Laufman and Liz Jones. The Barley House has trivia time at 8 p.m.
