
- Half and half. The National Weather Service is suggesting that things are going to be wet and dry. Expect cloudy skies in the morning with temperatures in the low 70s. However, by afternoon, rain is expected, with showers likely into the evening.
- Are you out of work? An unemployment support group meets at 8 a.m. at EJ’s on Main Restaurant in the Holiday Inn on North Main Street. Network with others who are in the same situation as you. Plus, don’t forget, Patch has a jobs website page and I’ll have a roundup of the latest employment openings in and around the city later this afternoon.
- Speaking of networking. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. at The Office Suite on Loudon Road. There is no fee to attend and it’s a good opportunity to share your service or small business information.
- Watercolor sale to benefit art school. McGowan Fine Art features watercolors by Cathy Chin at 5 p.m. The event is free but proceeds from the sales will go to the Kimball Jenkins School of Art.
- Party with a purpose. Stop the Woman’s Club of Concord at 6:30 p.m. and get a bit of pampering with 20 percent of the sales of items and services going to the restoration fund for the Chamberlin House.
