5 Things: Another Hot Day, Mom Prom, and Other Stuff

Here is everything going on in Concord today.

  1. Another hot one. Forecasters say it’s going to be sunny and hot with temperatures reaching the upper 90s. Clouds roll in during the evening with temps dropping down into the low 60s.
  2. Posts you may have missed … There were a lot of stories and things posted yesterday.   3. Mom prom. It’s ladies night out at the first annual Mom Prom at 7 p.m. at the Grappone Conference Center. Food and fun, including prizes for fun dresses and other things. Proceeds will be donated to the Concord Connections Family Resource Center. Tickets are $35.
  4. Landscape painters. At 5 p.m., meet artists Sally Ladd Cole and Ellen Davis at a reception at McGowan Fine Art who will be promoting this month’s show, Side by Side.
  5. Other stuff. Culture OneStop Conference will be held all day for those who work for cultural nonprofits and other boards at the Grappone Conference Center. Jen has a Zumba class at the Concord Dance Academy at 5:30 p.m. Jessica has a Zumba fitness class at 5:30 p.m. at The Racquet Club of Concord. Lori has a Zumba class at McKenna Dance Center at 5:30 p.m. Sharon Jones and the Downtown Express play The Purple Pit at 9 p.m.
