5 Things: Art, Theatre, Community in Concord

Here's a preview of the last Monday in March.

"Five Things” is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance about Concord, N.H.

  1. Snow and rain. Weather forecasters are expecting scattered snow before 11 a.m. and then spotty rain in the afternoon and evening. Expect highs to be in the low 40s and lows be in the mid-20s.
  2. Youth art exhibition. Don’t forget – the Concord School District youth art month exhibition is on display at the Steeplegate Mall through the middle of April.
  3. Community meeting. A community meeting will be held about the traffic and parking problems at the new Abbot-Downing Elementary School at 6 p.m. in the school’s café.
  4. National Theatre Live. The Capitol Center for the Arts presents a new play, “People,” presented in a rebroadcast from 2010 at 7 p.m.
  5. Other stuff. There is an unemployment support group at 8 a.m. on Monday at EJ’s on Main. At 10 a.m., the Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center hosts a toddler play group. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. at The Office Suite. The Concord School Board budget work meeting previously scheduled for 5:30 p.m. has been cancelled.
