5 Things: Concord on Wednesday

It's hump day … what's up?

"Five Things” is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance about Concord, N.H.

  1. Clouds on the way … Weather forecasters are predicting clouds and highs in the mid-40s with a light wind. Into the evening, there’s a 50 percent chance of rain or flurries, with temps dropping down to the mid-20s.
  2. Fun with the kids. St. Paul’s Church hosts the mustard seed program at 9 a.m. for toddlers. The Concord Public Library hosts family story time at 10:30 a.m.
  3. Learn about nursing. NHTI and SNHU host an advanced nursing information session at NHTI at 5 p.m.
  4. Piano event. The Walker Lecture Series continues at the Concord City Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. with a performance by Sar Shalom Strong, the founding member of the Jewell Piano Trio. The event is free and open to the public.
  5. Other stuff. The Concord Regional VNA hosts a walk-in clinic at 10 a.m. at the Heights Recreation Center. Dustins Fitness Solutions hosts at noon a complimentary circuit training class. Let’s Dance Studio hosts a Zumba class at 5 p.m. Primetime Wellness Club hosts a healthy happy hour for the ladies at 5:30 p.m. The Upper Merrimack Citizen Scientists Monitoring program meets at St. Paul’s School at 6 p.m. Mike Stockbridge plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. A knitting group meets at the Penacook Branch Library at 6:30 p.m. It’s trivia night at The Barley House at 8 p.m.
