5 Things: Documentary Film Analyzes Human Trafficking

Here's what's going on in Concord today.

  1. Another cloudy, warm day. Weather forecasters are calling for cloudy skies and a possibility of showers here and there, with highs in the mid-60s. Overnight, there could be more rain, with temps dropping down into the low 50s.
  2. 2,000! The Concord NH Patch Facebook site reached 2,000 “likes” yesterday. Thanks so much for helping us reach this goal!
  3. Women network, have lunch. A Women-in Business Networking Group will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Woman’s Club of Concord. Sarah Robinson of Forever Feasting is putting down the spread. Tickets are $18.
  4. Crossroads Film Series. The Crossroads International Film and Discussion series continues at the Red River Theatres at 7 p.m. with a showing of a documentary focusing on human trafficking and modern slavery. A panel discussion featuring U.S. Assistant Attorney Mark Zuckerman and Jennifer Durant, public policy specialist for NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence will take place after the showing. The event is free.
  5. Other stuff. Restaurant Week in New Hampshire continues (through Friday), including a number of Concord establishments that are participating. Uno’s offers trivia in the bar at 8 p.m.
