5 Things: Dough-raising, Korea, and Other Stuff in Concord

It's hump day in the city.

  1. Drying out. Weather forecasters are predicting partly sunny skies and highs in the high 40s. It will be a bit breezy here and there, with winds between 7 and 13 mph. In the evening, expect clouds and lows in the mid-30s.
  2. Meet Paul Boynton. The Woman’s Club of Concord hosts a conversation with Paul Boynton at 9:30 a.m. Begin with Yes is the topic, with Boynton offering new goals, new ideas, and help managing it all. Tickets are $25.
  3. Raise dough at Uno’s. Eat at Uno’s from 11 a.m. on and mention Sam Hickey’s Relay for Life team and 15 percent of your bill will go to the team.
  4. Free lecture about Korea. Buddy Hatton makes an appearance at the Concord City Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Walker Lecture Series. The topic is Korea, Land of Contrast. As always, the lecture is free and open to the public.
  5. 5 Other stuff. Dustins Fitness Solutions holds a complementary circuit training class at noon. Have you checked out the new location Jeremy’s Bootcamp on Manchester Street? Let’s Dance Studio has a Zumba class at 5 p.m. Primetime Wellness Club offers a healthy ladies night at 5:30 p.m. The East Concord Cooperative Preschool has an open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Friends of the Penacook Branch Library host a group knitting and crochet club meeting at 6:30 p.m. It’s trivia time at 8 p.m. at The Barley House.
