5 Things for a Friday in Concord

  1. Clouds crawl in. The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies today with highs in the high 30s, with winds in the 5 to 10 mph range. In the evening, more clouds are expected with lows in the 20s.
  2. Learn about LinkedIn. Chuck Sink of the Chuck Sink Link offers a LinkedIn social media business networking class at The Office Suite at 1 p.m. Tickets are $39.
  3. Meet Steve Forbes. Two-time presidential candidate Steve Forbes will be at the Grappone Conference Center at the Lincoln Day Dinner, in support of the Concord and Merrimack County GOP orgs. Tickets are $35.
  4. Learn about ghost hunting. The TAG Team Paranormal Society hosts a Ghost Hunting 101 class at The Office Suite at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.
  5. Other stuff. Grace Episcopal Church hosts its free monthly supper at 5 p.m. with a St. Patrick’s favorite: Corned beef and cabbage, with all the fixings, and apple crisp. The NH Idol – Sing For Brooklyn event at The Office Suite is sold out but Patch will have highlights from the event over the weekend. At 7 p.m., the Junior Service League presents “Stone Soup,” at St. Paul’s School. Also at 7 p.m., the Statehouse hosts the 2013 N.H. Poetry Out Loud Finals. The Concord Fire Department also hosts its annual awards at the Concord City Auditorium.
