5 Things for a Muggy Monday in Concord

1. Morning showers, muggy afternoon. Weather forecasters are suggesting that it will be rainy in the morning, probably before 11 a.m., and cloudy and muggy the rest of the day. Expect temperatures to be in the high 70s. Overnight, temps drop down into the high 40s.
2. Need to network? The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at The Office Suite. This free gathering of small business owners, sales associates, service providers, and marketers offers a great opportunity to meet with others in a low-key yet professional environment.
3. Home energy savings workshop. This free workshop offers strategies for finding savings and making changes to your home to prepare for next year. The event is free and will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Society for the Protection of NH Forests on Portsmouth Street.
4. Book club reads. The Gibson’s Bookstore Book Club meets at 7 p.m. and reads by Rachel Joyce. The event is free and open to the public.
5. Other stuff. A toddler playgroup meets at The Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center at 10 a.m. Dustin’s Fitness Solutions offers a free circuit training class for first-time clients at noon. Sharing Yoga is continuing its Yoga 101 classes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. At 7 p.m., the Concord City Council will meet to discuss financials around the Complete Streets Main Street proposal as well as the fiscal 2014, in the council chambers on Green Street.
