5 Things: Free Wine and Beer Tasting

- Another nice day? Maybe. Weather forecasters are calling for possible showers after 2 p.m. with highs in the mid-60s. Overnight, showers likely with temps in the high 40s.
- Take in an interesting or fun lunch. Here are two ideas: The World Affairs Council of NH holds its annual meeting and luncheon featuring a discussion of Myanmar with Charles Bickford. Then, at the Concord Community Music School, the amazing Catharine Dornin will be performing the music of Chopin, Debussy, and Mendelssohn at the Bach Lunch at 12:10 p.m.
- Wine and beer tasting. If you’re in the Sheep Davis Road area today, head over to Butter’s Fine Food and Wine’s weekly wine tasting at 4:30 p.m. and Barb’s Beer Emporium for a beer tasting at 5 p.m.
- Issues with substance abuse? There is help. The Families Sharing Without Shame program meets at 7 p.m. at Concord Hospital for a free, open meeting for families to discuss issues in a safe place.
- Music and fun. Tour the Mary Baker Eddy historic house beginning at 11:30 a.m. Tim Wildman and Jock Irvine play at Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. International folk dancing will be held at the IBEW building on Airport Road at 7:30 p.m.
