5 Things: Get a Haircut and Help Boston Marathon Bombing Victims
Here's what's going on in Concord today.

- Sunny Monday. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 60s. There will be a light breeze here and there. Overnight lows drop down into the 30s, with clouds rolling in too.
- Benefit for Boston Marathon Bombing victims. Supercuts on Fort Eddy Road and Loudon Road, along with locations across New England, are hosting a “Celeste-A-Thon,” to assist Celeste Corcoran, and her daughter Sydney, who are survivors of the bombings.
- Networking time. The Suite Success in Networking Group meets at 11:30 a.m. at The Office Suite. If you have a small business, are in sales, or offer a service, you’ll want to introduce yourself to this group.
- Concord City Council meets tonight. Despite a packet that is 340 pages (click here to access the PDF), it’s a light agenda for this evening. The council will vote on a new panhandling ordinance, will vote on a $30,000 grant, and will make a decision on whether or not to authorize the annual real estate appraisal assessments. The council meets in its chamber at 7 p.m.
- Other stuff. The Centennial Senior Center meets at 9 a.m. to offer free yoga and tai chi demonstrations for older adults. A toddler playgroup will be held at the Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center at 10 a.m. Dustin’s Fitness Solutions offers a complimentary circuit training class at noon for new clients. Jo Radner offers a humorous look at 19th Century newspapers at the Havenwood Auditorium at 2:15 p.m. Sharing Yoga offers a free class to military vets and their families at 7:30 p.m.
