5 Things: Snow, Books, Toddler Fun and More in Concord

It's another Monday in the city.

  1. Snow is possible. Weather forecasters are calling for lingering snow and freezing rain from Sunday with highs in the 30s. Expect a northwest wind in the morning. Overnight lows drop down into the 20s with cloudy skies.
  2. Fun for toddlers. At 10 a.m., the Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center hosts a toddler play group. The Concord Public Library also has toddler tales at 10:30 a.m.
  3. Movin’ Monday. Looking to get a workout in today? Here are some options: Dustin’s Fitness Solutions has a complementary circuit training class at noon. Jen offers a Zumba class at Concord Dance Academy at 5:30 p.m. Rockin’ Robins House of Dance has hip hop and breakdance classes at 6:15 p.m.
  4. The Hare with Amber Eyes. Gibson’s Book Club holds a discussion about at 7 p.m. at the store on South Main Street.
  5. Other stuff. An unemployment support group meets at EJ’s on Main Restaurant at the Holiday Inn on North Main Street at 8 a.m. The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association holds a walk-in immunization clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church. The Concord School District continues to look at the 2013-2014 budget (PDF link here) at 5:30 p.m. Capital Toastmasters meets at 6 p.m. at Granite Ledges. Paul Bourgelais plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. Sharing Yoga offers free yoga for veterans and their families at 7:30 p.m.
