5 Things: T-Storms, Horror Movies, Hunger, and More

Here is everything going on in Concord today.

  1. Expect more rain. The National Weather Service is calling for rain, possibly a thunderstorm, before 11 a.m. and then rain likely until late afternoon. Overnight, expect rains into the evening ending in the late evening or early morning hours.
  2. Discount at Uno’s. If you’re 55 or older, you can save 30 percent off your tab at Uno’s on Wednesdays when you join the Free Double Nickel Club.
  3. Hunger in America. Red River Theatres hosts a showing of “A Place at the Table,” which examines hunger in America, at 6 p.m. A panel discussion will follow. Tickets are $10.
  4. High school horror movies. The Concord High School Film Society presents its 2013 Frightening Film Festival at 6 p.m. Tickets are $3-$5.
  5. Other stuff. Dustin’s Fitness Solutions offers a complimentary circuit training class at noon. Primetime Wellness Club host a at 5:30 p.m. Dan Walker plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. The Concord City Council continues to examine the Downtown Complete Streets project at 7 p.m. The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church. The Barley House hosts trivia at 8 p.m.
