5 Things: Tempting Temps, Toning Up, and Other Stuff in Concord

  1. Tempting temps. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the mid-40s and breezes in the 10 to 15 mph range. Overnight, more clouds roll in and the temps drop down to the low 20s.
  2. Create e-books for iPads. The Crotched Mountain ATECH Services offers training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on how to create e-books for iPads for use in classrooms. Class registration is $129 and includes breakfast and lunch.
  3. Tone up. Looking to get some exercise in today? Here are some options: Dance Inspirations has a Zumba class at 9:30 a.m. The Green Street Community Center has open gym at 11:45 a.m. Let’s Dance Studio has Zumba with Mariann at 5 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the Concord Dance Academy has a Zumba class with Jen. Rockin Robins House of Dance has hip hop and breakdance classes at 6:15 p.m.
  4. Free wellness class. The Concord Area Senior Wellness Team offers a free wellness class at 10 a.m. at Horseshoe Pond Place.
  5. Other stuff. The United Baptist Church offers homework help and ESL classes at 4 p.m. for New American Africans and others, fourth-grade and up. Concord Community Acupuncture offers low-cost massages at 4:30 p.m. At 5 p.m., You’re Fired has a BYOB ladies night.
