5 Things: The Adventures of Buffalo and Tough Cookie

1. Wet Wednesday? Possibly. Weather forecasters believe it will rain in the late morning and early afternoon, with highs around 70. Expect very little accumulation though. Overnight, temps drop down into the mid-40s.
2. Over 55 save 30. At Uno’s, folks who are 55 and older and join the free double nickel club can eat on Wednesdays for 30 percent off, either lunch or dinner.
3. Fun for the kids. St. Paul’s Church hosts the mustard seed program at 9 a.m. and a rhythm and movement class at 10:30 a.m. The Concord Public Library hosts storytime at 10:30 a.m.
4. A book release party. At 7 p.m., Gibson’s Bookstore hosts a book release party for a personal memoir about hiking and friendship.
5. Music and fun. Dan Walker plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. A percussion department recital is held at the Concord Community Music School at 7 p.m. Swing dancing will be held at the Howard Recreational Center at 7 p.m. The Barley House has trivia at 8 p.m.
