5 Things: The Memorial Day Weekend Begins

More cloudy, rainy weather, food, and fun, all in Concord.

  1. More clouds, rain … Possibly. Weather forecasters are calling for cloudy skies and intermittent showers with temperatures in the low 60s. Overnight lows will drop down into the 40s. The National Weather Service has also issued a flood advisory for Merrimack County, with possible high levels of water in ponds and rivers. 
  2. It’s the last day of … The Second Annual Restaurant Week and you have one last chance to check out all the Concord eateries offering special meals and prices.
  3. Speaking of food … Print out the Give Back Program certificate on this link and eat at Ruby Tuesday today (and Saturday too) and 20 percent of your tab will go to the Broken Ground Elementary School PTO.
  4. Take in a silent film … The Red River Theatres present a showing of at 7 p.m., with musical accompaniment by Jeff Rapsis. Tickets are $10.
  5. Other stuff includes ... Concord Toastmasters meets at 7 a.m. at the American Red Cross office. A hip-hop multicultural dance show will be held at Concord High School at 6 p.m. The Ken Clark Organ Trio performs at The Purple Pit at 9 p.m.
