5 Things to Do this Weekend in Concord

Here are 5 Things to do in Concord this weekend: 

1. LAST CHANCE FOR MARKET DAYS. This year, the last day of Market Days will be held on a Saturday, so everyone can come out and enjoy all the fun, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Market Days is also ongoing on Friday. 

2. PETSMART SATURDAY. The Concord-Merrimack SPCA holds an adoption day at PetSmart on Loudon Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Meet with staffers, take a look at potential animals to adopt, and learn about the organization. 

3. TAKE A HIKE. Weather-wise, it's going to be a great weekend. So, take a hike. The city has an extensive trail guide online, with all kinds of trails, with different degrees of difficulty. 

4. NIGHTLIFE. If Mama Kicks and The Blues Party Band on the Market Days stage aren't your thing, check out these acts playing around the city this weekend: Drama Kings play the Pit Road Lounge on Friday, First Shot on Saturday. Melissa Blasek plays Hermanos on Saturday. Scott Barnett plays The Green Martini on Friday, Kitchen plays on Saturday. Eric Chase plays Hermanos on Sunday. 

5. STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERSTATES. It's NASCAR weekend which means that traffic in the Capitol region is going to be, well, car crazy. The main lane changes will occur on Sunday, after the race, in the late afternoon and early evening, with some spillover traffic on Monday morning.
