5 Things: White Mountain Landscapes, Poetry, Music, and Fun
Here's what's going on in Concord today.

- Here comes the rain again? The National Weather Service is predicting sprinkles late today, with patchy frost in the morning, and highs in the mid-60s. Wind gusts could reach 20 mph. The rain will continue into the evening with temps down into the mid-40s.
- Education, history, and fun. Concord WISE continues its series of meetings around the city for seniors. At 9 a.m., it’s education and enrichment with presentations by a number of orgs at Presidential Oaks.
- White Mountain landscape. Director Wesley Balla of the New Hampshire Historical Society will discuss some of the works of artists who have been presenting depictions of the mountains since the 1800s. The talk is free and will be held at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society.
- Poetry at Gibson’s. The Poetry Society of New Hampshire hosts its monthly slam at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m. featuring headliners Linda Aldrich and Robert Crawford, followed by an open mic.
- Other stuff. The Concord Public Library hosts a family storytime at 10:30 a.m. Dustin’s Fitness Solutions hosts a free circuit training class for new clients at noon. Mike Morris plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church. It’s trivia time at The Barley House at 8 p.m.
