
Here are 5 Things to know about this weekend in the city:
- A nice weather weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting a really nice weather weekend. Expect sunny skies and highs in the 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will drop down into the high 30s, low 40s.
- Doubt, A Parable. The Community Players of Concord offers the dramatic, award-winning play, “Doubt, A Parable,” at the Concord City Auditorium at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
- Go for a run. The Ironheart Classic 5K will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Rollins Park. The entry fee is $25 and goes to the Ironheart Foundation, a group of athletes raising awareness about heart disease.
- Cats! Not the play – the Seacoast Cat Show will be held at the Everett Arena from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $4-$6.
- Music this weekend. Matt Poirer plays Hermanos at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Paul’s Church presents the New Hampshire Master Chorale and Chamber Orchestra at 8 p.m. on Saturday. The Travis Colby Band plays The Purple Pit Jazz Club at 9 p.m. on Saturday; Sharon Jones has an open mic jazz jam at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The NH Gay Men’s Chorus offers “We Got That Swing!” at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the South Congregational Church.
