5 Things You Need to Know for Dec. 4, Plus The Dark Knight Rises

1. Afternoon rain? Weather forecasters are calling for some nice temperatures, in the high 40s, but some rain in the early afternoon. Expect the showers to continue into the evening and possibly Wednesday morning.
2. The Dark Knight Rises. Holy release date, Batman. “The Dark Knight Rises” is out on Blu-ray and DVD today. Precisely Robin, just in time for the holidays.

3. Get some exercise in. Dance Inspirations holds a Zumba class at 9:30 a.m. The Green Street Community Center has an open gym for adults at 11:45 a.m. Jen hosts a Zumba class at 5:30 p.m. at the Concord Dance Academy. Primetime Wellness Club hosts a biggest loser challenge at 6 p.m.
4. Book events. NHTI’s student literary magazine, The Eye, hosts a book discussion of “Mockingjay,” in the Bistro at 1 p.m. One of the most amusing writers in the city, Glenn Currie, will be signing copies of and reading from his new book, “Surviving Seventh Grade,” at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m.

5. Other stuff. Paul Heckel and John Hunter play Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. It’s trivia time in the bar at Uno’s at 8 p.m.
