7th New Hampshire Resident Contracts New Coronavirus
Health department investigating a Rockingham County woman, who frequented a Division of Motor Vehicle location in Manchester this month.
CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services has announced the state now has a new presumptive positive case of the new coronavirus. The case is the fifth presumptive positive in the state with two confirmed positives. The patient is a woman from Rockingham County who notified her health care provider after developing COVID-19 symptoms, according to Jake Leon, a public information officer with the department.
"There is an ongoing investigation to identify people with close contact before this individual self-isolated," he said. "Any person who has been identified as a close contact will be notified directly by DHHS."
During the initial investigating, the state has discovered the woman was at the Manchester branch of the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles, located at 377 S. Willow St., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on March 2, March 3, March 4, March 5, and March 10.

This DMV office will be closed tomorrow for enhanced cleaning and to allow state health officials to conduct an investigation inside of the building. Anyone who may have been at the DMV on those days, during those times, who develops symptoms, should stay home, limit contact with others, and immediately contact their health care provider, Leon said.
If you were in that DMV location, become symptomatic, and don't have a health care provider, contact the department at 603-271-4496.

What You Can Do
COVID-19, not unlike the flu and other respiratory illnesses, is spread through respiratory droplets, usually through coughing and sneezing, and exposure to others who are sick or might be showing symptoms. Take the same precautions as you would if you were sick:
- Stay home and avoid public places when sick (i.e. social distancing).
- Cover mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing.
- Wash hands frequently.
- Disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
