  1. Midweek rain? It looks like it. On Monday, expect sunny skies, with highs in the mid-70s. Similar weather continues on Tuesday. On Wednesday, expect a chance of showers, with temps in the mid-70s. Thursday could see temps in the mid-80s, with sunny skies, with similar weather on Friday. The weekend is also looking good.
  2. Parade on Monday. The Memorial Day parade begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday in Downtown Concord.
  3. New art on Tuesday. A new show opens at the McGowan Fine Art gallery Tuesday. Side by Side: Sally Ladd Cole and Ellen Davis is a two person show featuring New Hampshire landscape painters. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
  4. Are you over 55? Head on over to Uno’s on Wednesday and you’ll get 30 percent off your tab when you join the Free Double Nickel Club. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m.
  5. Horror films. The Concord High School Film Society presents a Frightening Film Festival at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, at the auditorium. Short films by Concord High students, the UK team of filmmakers Bloodycuts, and others will be featured. Tickets are $3-$5.
  6. The stars turn blue. Starting Thursday, the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center starts participating in the Blue Star Museum program. Military personnel and their families can enjoy free admission through Labor Day at participating museums.
  7. Meet Carrie Cariello. Author Cariello will talk about her memoir, at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Gibson’s Bookstore.
  8. Mom prom on Friday. The first annual Concord Mom Prom will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Grappone Conference Center to benefit the Concord Connections Family Resource Center. DJ Nazzy plus prizes and food. Tickets are $35.
