Wondering what’s going on in Concord this week? Here is a list:
- More snow? It looks like it. The National Weather Service is predicting more snow and freezing rain this week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. In between, expect clouds and temperatures in the low 40s on Tuesday. On Friday, it will be sunny in the mid-40s.
- Military collectables. Another Wings of Knowledge lecture occurs on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at NHTI when John Morrison, a World War II collector, hosts a discussion about collecting and conserving military artifacts. The free talk will be held in the library living room.
- Rescheduled jazz. Due to the snowstorm last week, Tall Granite Jazz Band’s Jazz for a Cause show was postponed. However, stop by the True Brew Barista at 8 p.m. this Wednesday and enjoy the show. Donations will go towards the city’s emergency winter shelters.
- Where’s the melody? Find out at 12:10 p.m. at the Concord Community Music School on Thursday as the Bach Lunch series continues with a jazz listener’s guide. The talk is free. Do bring a lunch though.
- Princess Ida. The Concord Light Opera Company brings Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Princess Ida” to the South Congregational Church at 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Tickets are $20, with a discount for seniors and students.
