ADL Condemns Concord Graffiti Incident

Calls the incident "an attack on everyone who values living in a shared community of respect."

On Aug. 9, the in Boston condemned the Thompson Street graffiti incident, issuing the following statement:

The Anti-Defamation League today expressed outrage and concern about a hateful message written onto the home of an African family in Concord, NH.  This incident is especially troubling as similar hateful graffiti was scrawled on other nearby homes last fall.

“ADL condemns this latest act of hate. This is an attack on everyone who values living in a shared community of respect, and serves as a stark reminder that prejudice is alive and demands that we all speak-out against it.  We commend the for responding swiftly and appropriately. ADL stands ready to support the target of this attack and the larger community as it now comes together and grows stronger,” said ADL New England Regional Director Derrek L. Shulman.

No suspect has yet been identified, though police indicate the same person or persons responsible for last year’s incidents may have also committed this act. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Concord Regional Crimeline at (603) 226-3100.
