AG: Suspicious Death Of Laconia Boy, 5, Investigated
Police were sent to Blueberry Lane Christmas Eve for a report of a boy who was pronounced dead later at a local hospital.

CONCORD, NH – Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher J. Wagner, and Laconia Police Chief Matthew Canfield announce further information regarding the ongoing suspicious death investigation in Laconia.

On Dec. 24, 2019, officers from the Laconia Police Department responded to 103 Blueberry Lane, # 67, in Laconia. Upon arrival, officers found inside the home a male child, identified as Dennis Vaughan, Jr., age 5. Dennis was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
New Hampshire’s Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Christine James has conducted an autopsy of Dennis. At this time, the cause and manner of Dennis’s death are pending further studies and investigation.
