Alleged Concord Meth Dealer Arrested
Concord Police: During transactions in 2014, 2015, Robert Ayer sold meth to "cooperating individual," once in the presence of a detective.

A local man was arrested and held on $6,000 cash bail earlier this month for allegedly dealing drugs, according to an arrest report and court affidavit.
Robert L. Ayer, 33, of Bog Road in Concord, was arrested on June 15, 2015, on three felony counts of sale of controlled drugs.

On Dec. 3, 2014, a Concord detective began an investigation into the illegal sale of methamphetamine in the city with a “cooperating individual.”
The individual arranged to purchase half a gram for $80, allegedly from Ayer. The individual was driven by the detective to meet with Ayer on Summer Street in Penacook to complete the transaction at around 7:30 p.m. The individual went into the apartment, allegedly purchased the drug, and then went back out to meet with the detective.

A few weeks later, on Dec. 19, 2014, the individual arraigned for another purchase, allegedly from Ayer, at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road. The individual, in the presence of the detective, allegedly purchased $90 worth of the drug from Ayer at around 2:45 p.m. in the parking lot.
On a third occasion, the cooperating individually reportedly lined up another transaction on Jan. 8, on Summer Street, allegedly from Ayer. The purchase was $80 for another half gram, according to the affidavit.
On April 1, the field tests on the purchases reportedly were confirmed to be meth. A warrant was issued later that day for Ayer to be arrested.
On June 15, police were sent to a domestic at an apartment on Bog Road between a couple. Dispatch warned that if Robert Ayer was at the apartment, there was a warrant for his arrest. The officers met with two people and then Ayer. One officers recognized the couple from previous incidents and deducted that the incident was only verbal.
The officers then took Ayer aside, explained the warrant and felony charges against him, and took him into custody. He was held on $6,000 cash bail.
