Dispatch told officers there was an Amazon van being tracked in the area of Dunkin’ Donuts on South Main Street. The company also had cameras inside the vans, so they could see what the drivers were doing, the dispatcher told officers. The vehicle on South Main Street, however, was not connected to the theft.
State police began checking Interstate 93 for the vehicle while another driver arrived at South Fruit Street to assist the driver of the first vehicle as well as police with the investigation.

At some point, around 3 p.m., state police began tracking the vehicle into Manchester. The van drove onto Elm Street and headed north straight into the street's dead end.
After stopping, the driver fled the vehicle and was chased by police and troopers. When the suspect refused to surrender, a state police K-9 was released, which led to the suspect being bitten and eventually surrendering.
The suspect, who was not known yet, was being taken to Concord Hospital for evaluation and will be processed and booked in Concord.
