Teen Accused Of Killing His Sister, NH AG's Office Says: Thornton Shooting Follow-Up

CONCORD, NH — An arrest has been made in a shooting that occurred in Thornton on Monday.

Leah Anderson, 21, was found with a bullet wound to the head on Mad River Road in Thornton just past 8:15 a.m. on Monday by Thornton and Campton police officers. She was taken to the hospital, where she received treatment, but died later, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

On Monday night, Logan Anderson, 18, was arrested and charged with one felony count of second-degree murder.

Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the department, said an autopsy will be performed on Anderson on Wednesday.

“It is anticipated that Mr. Anderson will be arraigned at the 2nd Circuit District Court in Plymouth, New Hampshire, tomorrow,” he said.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation, Garrity added.

According to Plymouth State University, Anderson was an elementary education and youth development major. According to her online profile, she worked for the town of Campton and played basketball for Plymouth Regional High School.
