Around 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 14, officers were sent to the hotel after two people reported their vehicles had been broken into overnight.

The owner of one of the vehicles, a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe with a New York registration, reported stolen Amex cards, assorted knives, gloves, ADHD meds, and about $185. She said she parked the SUV around 9 p.m. the night before and did not recall whether she left the vehicle unlocked. The victim learned of the incident after her boyfriend, who owned the cards but had her on his accounts, texted her about an Amex fraud alert.

The victim said there were charges at the 7-Eleven on South Main Street in Concord around 3:15 a.m. for about $49, and at the McDonald’s Restaurant on Brown Avenue in Manchester at 4:30 a.m.

A second victim, a man with a 2019 Nissan Rogue registered in Rhode Island, reported that a stereo system had been cut out of the vehicle, causing damage. The stolen items included a Kicker amp, a Taramp amp, a Pioneer subwoofer, a subwoofer box, and a red box speaker, all valued at around $1,463. A woman also reported a Coach purse worth around $100 was stolen from her SUV, along with her Social Security card, debit card, birth certificate, and Cash App card, but they did not appear to have been used.

A detective was given the case in early March.

According to the report, officers viewed video footage of the incident and reported seeing a Mazda sedan, with no visible license plate, pull up to the vehicles. Two men exit the car and are seen opening doors on the SUVs and removing items.

The officers also obtained surveillance footage from the 7-Eleven and identified the Mazda as having a New Hampshire registration. The car was connected to a man in his mid-20s.

Footage from McDonald’s was also obtained by the officers, including footage of a similar vehicle to the Mazda pulling up to purchase food using the woman’s stolen credit card.

Concord police reached out to a crime analyst with the Manchester Police Department and were provided with screenshots from body camera footage of a traffic stop of the Mazda on Jan. 15. The owner of the car and Pagan Lorenzana were in the footage, according to the affidavit, and were wearing “similar clothing” as the suspects in the security footage from the hotel.

The detective also reached out to the victims and confirmed none of them had given the vehicle owner or Pagan Lorenzana permission to break into their vehicles and use their cards.

The vehicle’s owner has not been charged, according to police and court records.

On June 12, the case was boundover from Concord District Court to Merrimack County Superior Court. Pagan Lorenzana was held on $500 cash bail, requested an attorney, and was assigned a public defender. He also requested an interpreter and posted bond on June 23.

Pagan Lorenzana is back in superior court for a dispositional conference hearing on Aug. 26.

According to superior court records, Pagan Lorenzana also has an active case out of Bedford dating back to January involving a stolen firearm and felony theft charges, as well as two misdemeanor theft charges.

The case was boundover on June 17.

Pagan Lorenzana was granted a lawyer and posted bond on June 30.

Pagan Lorenzana was also charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon after an incident in Manchester in October 2024.

In April 2025, the case was boundover to Hills North from the district court. Pagan Lorenzana was held but released a couple of months later on $1,500 bail. The source of funds in the case was sealed in July 2025, according to the superior court.

Pagan Lorenzana also requested an interpreter in the case and after a plea hearing in October 2025, the charge was nolle prossed a month later.
