CONCORD, NH — A man from Maine was arrested early Thursday morning after a chase with a state trooper in Bow and Concord, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Around 2 a.m., a trooper saw the driver of a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling at 100 mph on Interstate 93 north in Bow. The trooper caught up with the vehicle, illuminated their emergency lights and siren, and attempted to stop the driver.

"When the driver continued to flee, a pursuit ensued," state police said.

The driver, identified later as Jacob Lemery, 20, of Naples, Maine, was accused of driving at a high rate of speed and exiting off I-3 at Exit 13 in Concord. At the ramp, state police said Lemery drove into a concrete median on Manchester Street. After crossing over the median, he drove back onto I-93 north, state police said, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.

The pickup eventually became disabled between Exits 16 and 17 in Concord after damage from driving across the concrete median, state police said.

Lemery was taken into custody and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled drug, both felonies, as well as aggravated driving while intoxicated, disobeying a police officer, reckless operation, and other motor vehicle violations. He was released on personal recognizance and is due in Concord District Court on Nov. 17.

Concord police officers assisted troopers during the incident.
