Monadnock Music Festival Looking for Singers

The Monadnock Music Festival is looking for excellent singers to participate in their first ever Festival chorus!

On July 27, Artistic Director Gil Rose will conduct “Suite for Violin and American Gamelan” and the premier of the festival chorus performing “La Koro Sutro”. Both works are composed by the late American composer Lou Harrison who was noted for incorporating elements of the music from non-Western cultures into his work. “La Koro Sutro” features the American Gamelan, Harrison’s adaptation of the Javanese instruments (played by six percussionists), organ and harp.

We will be holding an Open Rehearsal/Audition from 6 - 7:30 on Thursday, June 6 at ConVal High School in Peterborough, NH for all interested singers.
