Bennington Paper Mill Recognized for Longevity Among Top State Businesses

Bennington, New Hampshire -Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc., a family owned business, was recognized Monday evening at an event celebrating Business NH Magazine’s “Top 100 Private Companies.” The magazine ranks state businesses based on gross sales figures reported for the past three fiscal years and gives special recognition to state businesses more than 100 years old. Monadnock, a manufacturer of graphic arts and technical specialty papers, ranked as the oldest company on the “Private 100” list. Richard Verney, chairman and chief executive of Monadnock, accepted the award on behalf of the company at a reception held at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord.

Monday’s reception recognized those on the list for their contributions to the state economy even through the economic downturn.
