St. Patrick's Day Scholarship Fundraiser .... It's a Party!

You're Invited to the 6th Annual St Patrick's Day Scholarship Fundraiser Party!!!

Friday, March 14th at 6pm at the Historic Chamberlin House
44 Pleasant Street, Concord 03301

Michael & Barbara Ruedig will be cooking their famous Corned Beef & Cabbage, Linda Graham will be making her scrumptious Quiches, and so many other delicious Irish dishes homemade by our WCC Members.

Fiddlers will delight us with some Irish Music, maybe Elaine Bello will entertain us with some Irish dancing!

Green Beer, Wine and tons of magical fun!

$30 pp suggested donation.  All proceeds go to the WCC Scholarship Fund.

As part of the Woman’s Club of Concord’s mission to empower women, we award the Woman’s Club of Concord Annual $1000 Scholarship to a Concord Area high school senior girls who shows promise.

Through GFWC dues WCC contributes to General Federation of Women’s Clubs
– GFWC - New Hampshire Scholarship, and
– Mrs. Dexter Otis Arnold Scholarship

The Woman's Club of Concord Annual $1,000 Scholarship is awarded to a college-bound, highly motivated and directed senior girl who is selected through an application process.

Interested applicants may download the application form from this site. Information can also be obtained from the guidance department at the three Concord Area public high schools: Concord, Bow and Merrimack Valley.

April 1st is the deadline for WCC scholarship applications to be submitted to the Woman's Club of Concord. The Woman's Club of Concord Scholarship Committee then reviews the applications and evaluates each applicant.

The finalists are selected to be interviewed. Interviews are scheduled for after mid-April at Chamberlin House, 44 Pleasant Street, Concord NH.

Of particular interest to the Scholarship Committee are the areas of:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Community Service/Involvement
  • Financial Need
  • Interest in Women's Issues
  • Leadership

The Woman’s Club of Concord Annual $1000 Scholarship final recipients are chosen based on the interview results and will be selected by May 1st.
A Scholarship Certificate is presented at the Woman’s Club of Concord May 21st Annual Meeting where they meet members of the club. The Woman's Club of Concord will notify the recipient's high school and send a press release to the Concord Monitor.

After completing her fall semester, the recipient briefs the Woman’s Club of Concord Scholarship Committee on her accomplishments for the term and includes a copy of her transcript. Once this report has been received and evaluated, the Woman's Club of Concord sends $1,000 directly to the recipient's school, to be applied to her second-semester tuition.
